Homechoice: General Questions
How should I arrange the wiring for my telephone extensions now I have ADSL?
Basically you need what is being coloquially called a Microfilter to split the high-frequency ADSL signal out from the ordinary telephone signals. Without one of these you will get interference when using the telephone. The microfilter can either be an external, in-line plug-in device, or integrated as part of a special ADSL linebox adapter (master socket).
A detailed explanation, specifications, and wiring diagrams, is provided by BT specification SIN346
