Are the Internet and TV service affected by each other's use?
No. (Unfortunately) the allocation of bandwidth on the ADSL line between
the Internet and TV is fixed. So you don't get lower picture quality
while using the Internet, but you don't get faster Internet when you're
not watching TV either.
Indications are that this will change when the long-promised
"512k upgrade" vapourware upgrade arrives. See When are Homechoice going to upgrade to 512k.
